Ugh! lost a doz chicks, as something dug under the gate. We have been wet here, and sandy = easy digging.
So I dug it out deeper, and filled it with scrap iron, and then reburied it. This morning when I went down, I was a bit surprised to see fresh digging, but from inside the pen, trying to get out.
What ever it is, is not bothering my hens, smells bad, but not like a real skunk, and must have been in the coop, yesterday while I was working there, ugh.
I opened the gate, and left it. I am going to have to clean out that whole house, he must be behind the nesting boxes, there is a space there, I just don't want to move it and have it jump at me! ugh!
