So for all of the folks that have brought their ducks into some sort of heated room into a house, garage or where ever to get them out of this gosh forsaken polar vortex, my question is, how is everyone going to reintroduce their ducks back into the cold weather? Are there any mistakes us rookies could make? My big concern is frost bite. I plan on letting them back outside when Monday gets to a high of 35*F since they are being housed in the garage were it is almost 40*F. All thoughts are welcomed!!!

My thoughts were this when I brought mine inside while they were healing: in nature, the temperature can swing one way or the other about 20 degrees from day to day. And the ducks seem to handle it just fine. So since it was almost 20 degrees difference and I put them back outside. And watched them for awhile. And they acted just fine so I quit worrying and hovering over them and went back inside. I’m sure there are better ways to go about it, but that’s just what I did.

Sometimes you have a train of thought go through your head and it doesn’t come out quite right. I’m glad you can decipher my terrible rambling sentences/fragments.

Ha!! I know exactly how you feel....I think sometimes I'm big rambler myself, that's why it takes so long for me to reply. I read, reread.....and read again before I post:lau

Hello..You don't need to do anything once the weather gets better. Just put them out and they will celebrate to be back outside. Provide straw for a place to huddle and relax.
Hi there! Thanks....they are going to be so happy once this weather breaks

They have grown all that fluffy down and will not loose it till spring when they start spending time out in the sun and then it will look like a pillow fight happened..
