4 hens 15 months old, all raised together since birth (red sexlink, turkens and leghorn. Leghorn broke her toe required surgery, we were told to keep her separate until the wound healed well it took a lot longer than the vet thought and turned into her being separated a full month. We moved her crate into the main coop as directed and have let her just remain in the crate outside the coop but against it for a week and now inside for a week in the crate , we allowed her and one turkens hen outside to roam together and they started doing that chest bump fighting which turned into jumping on each other’s backs so I separated them. Both were upset allday and have now been trying to fight through the cage nonstop. Few days later I let her out with the sexlink which in minutes they too we’re fighting biting and jumping on the others back and raising their wings up I separated them also. She is getting along now with one turken and they can roam together but I assumed she’d go back to the coop with the hens she was raised with. We don’t want to keep her separate and can’t hoenstly we don’t have a spare coop , but it seems like they will kill each other if left alone. I plan to just give it time, we don’t want to give her away is there hope they will acclimate back together? They just seem to hate each other now when before they were best buds and a very peaceful group.

Thank you , I read the article it appears it’s going to take time quit a bit of time.
