I hatched one like that last year. Dent and cracks. We named him Denty. I just used a bit of scotch tape (didnt know what else to do). I was worried when he started zipping, but he zipped around the tape like a champ!!![]()
Oh, I forgot. Is everyone still alive? Except for Lumpy that isI'm going to lockdown tomorrow night.![]()

Ditto everyone else. Have you tried to seal it yet? Cracked eggs will often develop but never hatch for me they always get bacteria and die. This gives me hope for my cracked silkie/serama egg! She’s been in the bator for 3 days now and is the only silkie/serama egg showing development. I only just noticed the hairline cracks, I’m debating sealing them.
I named the eggs in my original post, Crackles, Lumpy, Rocket, and Sticky, lol. So I thought it would be easier to keep track by labeling them as such throughout the experiment when I'm candling and updating. There is technically a second oblong egg but it's not quite as severe as the egg I labeled "Rocket". Same for the other egg with the calcium build up, it's not as bad as the one I named "Lumpy".
As I'm so late this experiment. I've just finished page 2 and have a name suggestions for the 2 'lesser' eggs:
Rocky & Lumpette or Lumpty?
