Reject Hatching Eggs - aka "The Undesirable Egg Experiment"

Pics
I threw away 7 of 12 Olive egger eggs a friend gave me to hatch because of undesirable looks before i read this, wish i had seen this before but lesson learned.

Well, the hatch is upcoming on Thursday and nothing is proven until we have happy healthy peeps running around the brooder!

I normally would have discarded the undesirable eggs myself as well. I have had pretty good success with porous eggs as long as they're not dirty but I have tossed dirty, cracked, sticky, and crazy shaped eggs throughout most of my hatches so you're not wrong in doing so because everything says to discriminate or you could end up extremely disappointed. So I did the same in order to avoid heartbreak. I just had a wild hair this month since half of the carton had less than optimal eggs, lol.

And we have lockdown!

/cue the drum roll or the pipe organs. choose your musical interlude......... I'm currently listening to WRR classical 101.1 here in DFW with the radio show "Pipe dreams". Seems fitting for this experiment that shows all signs of success in a few days. /Breathes a happy sign and kicks back to let mother nature finished her job.
