Religion and chickens

I'm with Tomcio. I personally find Romanesque architecture to be visually heavy and overbearing. I much prefer the light airiness of gothic (although the purity of true Roman architecture is inspiring).

Is it possible to make a seperate religion catagory? That might be fun. I personally just skip over the posts that disinterest me, but I realize that those not of the majority faith might get tired of seeing them over and over again.

I apologize to you Oblio, but I just don't get it.

I agree that there are a LOT of religion-based threads, but generally they are easily identified by their thread titles. If that is accurately the case, then just don't read them. No one is forcing you.

If, on the other hand, religion is being injected into threads with the focus starting as chickens, family, etc., then you have a legitimate complaint.

Perhaps those wiser than us (Moderators) can determine whether an overall "faith"-type forum is warranted - ALL faith-based discussions can be kept within those confines. If that is not the direction of the BYC, then we'd all have something to consider about what we can and can't post.

For my part, I don't bash threads about 'Vegan Homeschoolers Worshipping Lucifer While Knitting'.

I'm not picking on any one group, just making a point - If it's something I don't like, don't care about, don't agree with - I just leave it alone.

I have much more important things to do with my time.

I think the point he is trying to make is that this isn't church, so leave your religion at the door. Dont try to tell me to pray to "God, Allah, Buddah, Ghandi, or the Tree Fairy" because your car broke, you have no money, your dog is dying, your birds quit laying, your TV went out, or your marriage is on the rocks. I'm not a priest, and I dont pray to my Higher Power for specifics. In addition, I have my own problems to pray for...

As well, if you want to quote the bible, go to church, not an internet forum. I dont want to see your signature line with 50 verses quoted. Sure you say "Dont read it, exercise your rights, move on, skip over it" but to do that would mean that we would have to move to another forum about poultry.

Dont expect to write the bible in your signature line, and then not get flack about it for blantantly sticking it in a post that will be read by hundreds of thousands of people.

Once again, I don't.
But, I don't have a problem with anyone writing ANYTHING in their signature line (short of being pro-abuse against women or children).
