Just found this pulling weeds from out of under our grape vines. Amazing how good old metal is still solid.
Anyone know what it is?
Mid-evil torture device? Metal forging tool I imagine? Maybe it was used to grab a ember out of the fireplace to light a pipe?

I might be wrong but I think that thing is a horseshoe nail puller.

I was getting groceries today and asked the lady where i could find a mailbox to mail my letter. She says, you mean the post office? Yeah, or a MAIL BOX!?! What, people do not know what a mail box is any more?

The only ones i can think of around here are IN FRONT OF the post offices.

Nope but I remember many times seeing hundred yrd trails of the stuff following cars, or the stuff blowing in the wind wrapped up around guard rails. Maybe it's a good thing nobody uses them anymore, bet the tape ended up in many birdsnests back then.

There are quite a few around here.

my first car was a 1957 Simca -- made in France....something like 30mpg even back then. It was pink and white. Notice the wind wings on the front seat windows.
