I'm not positive, but I beleive this lil chick has a biotin defiency.

I have tried to research online. The best I can come up with is a staph infection. I would try to get a heavy duty antibiotic. A trip to the vet might be warranted.

I would do biotin, too. I did research the other day and thought about the staph infection deal, but wouldn't it spread up the lake, etc.? My goodness, who knows? So sorry about this. Let us know if you do biotin and how it works for you. Good luck and great job!

Someone told me at one time where to get the biotin....I can't find it...does anyone know?

OH MY GOODNESS! I just read about the biotin deficiency and that is exactly what is happening, her feathers fall out and everything.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHERE DO I GET BIOTIN?

Can she be saved?

Once I know where to get the biotin....

How much do I give and where do I get it? How often do I give it?

Here is something with biotin in it you can get from mcmurrays

Not sure if that will do the trick, Poor chickie Bless your heart for going thru great lengths to save it. I would have done the same thing if i was in your shoes

.

I did go to the store and got some human biotin supplements. I crushed it and watered it and gave it to her in a dropper. She took it fine. I also gave her some romaine lettuce and some hard boiled egg yolk crushed and mixed with her starter food. I read that both of those are high in biotin.

Her feet look horrible. She mostly sits and rests...because they hurt. I am hoping that the biotin I am giving her will help.
