What sad news to return to.....this is hitting me hard. She truly was the backbone of BYC, and she will be sorely missed. Thank you so much for all you did, Sumi! ❤ You'll forever be in many hearts.

I loved knowing her. What a helpful friend she was. I love that she had a sense of humor, accepted life in the many different ways there are. She genuinely cared for people. If you asked her, of anything, she would do her best to help.

I never knew sumi, but it sounds like she was a truly wonderful person. I am sad to hear that she died, and I hope that her son and friends are coping with the loss well. They will be in my prayers, as will sumi herself.
My condolences to all the people who knew her and who are mourning her more so than I am.
May her soul rest in peace in heaven. I will pray and have faith that the Lord is watching over her family and is keeping them safe during this pandemic and helping them to get through their loss.

Oh... I have been away for quite a while. This is definitely not the news I had hoped to see upon returning. Such a sweet and wise soul, brimming with perseverance. She always had a kind word, and I know she taught me a lot in just the few interactions we had. I am heartbroken for her family and friends.
