I recently was told about a blog site called The Chicken Chick where I stole her idea for a removable roost. We actually (I think) improved on it some. Basically, the entire roost can be removed for those once a year thorough cleanings...but in the meantime...the poo pan below and the roosts slide out for weekly cleanings.
Here's her link for her idea and then I have posted my picture of what we built. We have modified it some since then and got a fiberglass bottom that we hinged to create a way for the poo to slide down onto the main pan and for easier cleaning. Hopefully, you will get the idea.
