Hello, me again... I live in the Pacific NW and the weather is variable. This year has been cold and quite snowy. The summers can get really hot too(heat dome!). As I continue to design my coop, I'm wondering if having removable or hinged panels would keep the girls more comfortable under all conditions - closed in the winter, open in summer...? Ideally I'd love to have a large open coop with hardware cloth "walls" only, but I don't think our weather is conducive to such. Thoughts anyone? Thanks!

I have a run/coop combo that has HWC on 3 sides, and i made removable panels out of clear marine vinyl. It can be below zero one week and 60s the next week, so I needed something I could adjust throughout the winter. I can pop the run panels out independently when the weather is nice and sunny. It’s one of my favorite features of my coop!
