Removing Blu-Kote

Now this is some bad stuff but it sure does a great job cleaning up iron stains from our welll water and soap scum.

Yea but it does do the job....

Rubbing alcohol will take Blu-Kote off. Use it on dry skin....several times if necessary. Will also take it off other items as well. Found that out by accident and use it all the time now.

Everyone....do you realize that Blu-Kote is nothing more than rubbing alcohol and methylene Blue dye...do you pour rubbing alcohol on a kid's skinned knee...didn't think so! If you don't use that expensive garbage, you wouldn't get it all over yourselves...just sayin'

Actually I did use rubbing alcohol on kid's skinned knees when they were little. Blu-Kote works really well on my horses and they don't flinch when I use it. Haven't had to use it on my chickens yet but I wouldn't hesitate on using it.

Thanks for the tip!! I had a rough time with the chicken and the Blue-Kote. Got it pretty solid on fingers of one hand and fingers and arm of the other. Tried your Kaboom method just now. Let it set 5 seconds, then rubbed, about 95% came off a real solid purple spot. No burn, wash with soap after.

We just tried everything and Goof-Off max strength did a darn good job. Lord knows what chemicals are in it. It was our first time and we didn't wear gloves.
