My girl is sick! She is a three-year-old Golden Comet. She had sour crop around 2months ago. We treated with Monistat for around 6 days, with immediate results in the first 24 hours. Fast forward to the last two weeks: she's had a bad case of sour crop again, with little improvement with Monistat as treatment. Her crop stays full and squishy. She smells horrible. We initially isolated her and withheld food and water for 48 hours. Then, only water for 24 hours. Then food and water were offered. However, she doesn't eat much. She is interested in food, but will not actually eat. She has had a good dose of monistat almost every single day for 14 days. My husband has induced vomiting once a day for three days, hoping that it would help empty her crop. We are seeing no improvement. Is there anything we can do besides a vet visit or cull? I can't imagine her quality of life is good at this point.
