Reporting owing a Rooster in violation of local ordinance.

A neighbor owns a rooster, contrary to a local ordinance. Problem is the rooster screams day and night. The cry can be heard almost 3 blocks away. To whom do I report this? I live in Dania Beach, Fl. Broward County ordinance makes owning a rooster illegal.

Have you tried talking to your neighbor yet? In my opinion that's always the best place to start. They might be willing to make some changes or accommodations if you voice your complaints to them in a neighborly and civil manner.

Aww, you don't like rooster crows, we have rooster, geese honking, sheep, goats and a cow in the area we live. We prefer that over incessant dog barking and traffic etc. Do you actually know which neighbor has the rooster?

Depends on the zoning if they are allowed or not. Broward County has different rules about chickens for different zones. Regardless, I'd talk to the owner. If that doesn't help, you can call the county.

Truth. We got reported for having 7 roosters. I had 7 hens.

I prefer roosters to the sound of traffic and barking dogs, too. But the OP can call the county if it's illegal in the zone they live in in Dania Beach, FL.
