Gahhh! I feel so neglectful.
There's little tiny bugs in my snake tank. They look like something between a louse and a flea, I'm going to assume some kind of mite because...
Reese's has been shedding abnormally. He is also darker, but besides those two things he's still just as bad as ever. Derpy eater, tunneling, escaping and splorin. He's not agitated, I can't find any signs of the bugs on him at all. He's in the middle of a molt, probably his third (possibly fourth) this year, and the only reason I think that's abnormal is because he didn't molt for a really long time, and then he molted over and over again, probably 2-4 weeks apart.
My one issue is that I really can't find a good picture of mites, and any pictures I find show a scabbed snake or giant tick looking bugs. Is there any other kind of pest that just loves to live in warm humid areas with lots of organic matter?
Hoshi my leo managed to injure his leg doing parkour in his tank. The vet says nothing is broken though and he seems to be healing slowly but surely. Meanwhile, Tad the beardie got one whiff of fall weather and decided to brumate. I miss her already
