From my yak (I had two) who ate a poisonous plant and passed before the vet could get there. I brought his body far out into the woods (where I live I am surrounded by thousands of acres of state land) and a year later I went back and collected his bones.

Aww that’s sad but cool you got the bones at least!

The reptile expo I went to today was AWESOME. I never knew baby hognose snakes were so tiny! I was hoping to see a lavender morph but I don't think any vendors had any. I came back with a pin, magazines, and a LOT of video and pictures! Here are a few of them:

A Knob-tailed gecko, I believe. He was adorable!

Well I have the day off for the expo, but not going to be able to make it. It is a 160 mile round trip for me, and I need to make the drive the following Mon and Tue as well for work.
Will plan better and make it to the spring one next year.

I feel kinda silly about it, but I'm actually renting a car, because the old farm truck is having an issue with belts. But my daughter wanted to go to an expo for her B-day last year, and between one thing and another, we have missed every possible one for over a year. When this one came up, I said "ok, that's the one, we're going".
When the car started having issues she said again "It's ok Mom..."
"NO, we are GOING"

No thats not silly at all. Did you get VIP tickets? If I had someone else willing to drive out with me I probably would still go.
There is just a LOT going on for me this weekend. A barnfest, new ducks coming, family is visiting, coops really, REALLY, need to get cleaned. And Monday is 1st day training for a new job. They put this on twice a year now, so I will just need to hit up the spring one.

No, I'm 2 hours away (Margaretville, lol, it's tiny you won't have heard of it) and we're already leaving here at 7:30 to pick up the other car and hope to be parked by 10. Look me up - if you're anywhere near my route I'd be happy to pick you up.
I totally understand feeling too busy. Trying to carve out time feels like trying to machete a path through the jungle, like in those old adventure movies like Romancing the Stone.
