Yes, thaw them out first then offer the rodent to the snake with tongs. Make sure it's warm enough or the snake may reject it. I give it a shake and make clickity sounds. Helps to make the snake think it's alive lol.
I have to convince my husband to let me get a snake first :lau How fast do they grow? I don't remember from when I had mine, it was several years ago.

In regards to the live/dead feeding, as I mentioned earlier in this thread, I'm pretty sure it's illegal in Australia to feed live rodents to snakes, not to mention the risk to the snake.

With those points in mind, and since I'm yet to find any major benefits of live feeding, I'm definitely going to stick to dead mice/rats.
Thanks for saying all this! That's really helpful. If it's illegal in other countries then you know something is up

Can anyone inform me on basic lizard care? Aside from leopard geckos... what’s a good starter species?
Bearded dragons are probably my favorite. I'm not really a gecko fan.

They need a uv light, heat light or source, substrate (I use coconut fiber substrate, sand can cause impaction if consumed). Clean their tank daily and feed every day. Some feed only every other day, but my beardie likes eating every day. I give him veggies every day and soldierworms every other day. Beardies don't drink water from a bowl, I spray my beardie daily with water. Bathe them every day or every other day with a nice room temp or warm water. Take them out daily, some people even walk theirs on a harness outside.

Most of this is just from my experience with them, I've owned beardies for over 10 years.
