Reptile Lover’s Thread!!

I have lots of animals... 5 dogs, a cat, 3 lizards, fish, 12 coturnix quail, 30 something chickens, a turkey, and a duck... we will be adding more once we buy land

I’m not sure I understand the question? Here in the US reptiles are usually kept as pets. Are they kept for meat and eggs in other places? Or are you asking about the chickens?

I think that they are trying to be funny!!

No and probably never will. They live too long lol

I feel the same way about tortoises. They are sooooo cute, but I don't want a pet that could out live me

Any reptile lovers here!?

I didn’t used to be a huge fan of them although I always thought they were cool. Anyway, I’ve recently been researching a lot and now I love them

Thought I would start a thread so I don’t clog up or hijack any other threads rambling about them.

I tried to find other reptile threads before starting my own but I couldn’t find any active ones. Most were from at least a few years ago. And this section of the forum in particular just doesn’t really seem to be very active lately. But I figured I would try. So I’m starting this one.

Anyway, any reptile lovers out there!? I know there have to be some!

Feel free to post pictures of your animals or list what you have or whatever!

Oh and also since I know a lot of reptile owners own both, you can post your amphibians and/or insects and/or hermit crabs too if you own any or whatever. All creepy crawlies and slitheries welcome.

But yeah.

I myself am hoping to eventually get a crested gecko, leopard gecko, bearded dragon, corn snake, or all of the above.

I have a female ball python and I had a Red-tailed boa that died when I moved!!

I have a female Ball python, she is 7 years old. Her name is Lucille Ball Python!! . I had a Red-tailed Boa that died during my last move. . I can't find any pictures of them,though!

She is pretty chill. The boa was a juvenile. He was awesome he would just hang out,whether it was in my lap or on my house shoes with my feet propped up.

I saw a tortoise at the store the other day and I wanted it, but I would need to make an enclosure for it so it can go inside and outside.
