ReptiPro 5000 & 6000 Hatch-a-long Thread

Well, rice is in, I put in 3 little bowls (they each only hold a few tablespoons). I should be able to get it at Hobby Lobby or Michaels right? I think I will search ebay though anyway... and check out the hatching eggs, LOL. I have an air pump too, but when I shut the door on the tube I think it pinches it too much cause I cannot hardley get the door to shut.

you may have to ask for "flower drying crystals" if you go to a hobby/craft store.. I doubt many of them would know it by "silica gel"

Well, my air sacs are doing fine, except..that I have some really weird off the wall looking ones! I don't like it when they go so far up the sides! I draw lines when it comes time to lock down, so I can lay the egg half and half with the air sac..know what I mean? Had to throw 4 more eggs out. One blood ring/quitter, one clear, and two quitters no blood ring.

I found the packets on eBay. Not to bad cost wise.

cool.. I hadn't looked for them.. but I pretty much figured that ebay would have them!

are they shipped eggs? Most of the shipped eggs I have incubated have "saddle shaped" air cells

Happy to say I think we are stabilized!! I took the middle shelf and placed it in the bottom raised up by a 2" tall square bowl that made a space on the bottom to place 2 tiny bowls of rice, then I put 2 more tiny bowls of rice on the top shelf. And it takes some effort to get the door shut, but I hooked up the small aquarium air pump and used a T to split the air flow so I can pump air to the top and bottom where the cord placements are. I am now averaging 99-100* on both shelves!

Yes they are, and I have noticed that most of the shipped eggs do. At least there is some air in there. :)
