I'll send you at least 25 = of the quail cartons. They hold 10 eggs each. If you don't mind one would be fine. I can always send you a couple more when you have excess eggs later

No charge for the shipping on the quail eggs! You're sending me cartons.. that's payment enough.

and any time you need quail eggs just ask.. you get first dibs on any extras!

I'm glad we have such nice & generous members on this thread, it really makes it that much better. I'm going to candle tonight to see where my chicken eggs are, I've already thrown out over half of them due to shipping damage but I'm hoping at least a handful will hatch, that's just how it goes with shipped eggs. It's really up to chance because the last eggs I got from this member had 100% rate with no shipping damage then the next time at least 75%+ had aircells in horrible shape, so I'm really hoping all of your eggs had a better time in transit than mine did! My duck eggs had several cracked with one even half shattered but their aircells were pretty good so after a wax job I'm keeping my fingers crossed

I can't wait for your all's geese & turkeys to start laying, that's so exciting, I will pay more than the shipping cost

I don't think you'll have very long to wait

They are getting sassy fast

. That's usually how I tell when they start laying. They are used to me taking the eggs away so when they start sassing me it's because they have a nest going

. I went in to check on my incubators and put the one that has the Salmon Faverolles Blue Laced Red Wyandottes and Welsummers in it into lockdown and make their little shelf liners and I looked into it and thought Why is that egg cracked

That reminds me of another question:

So, how do you keep the different breeds separated so you know who is who? I'd really rather not do leg bands. What about a sharpie?

With some of the breeds the chicks look so unique that it is easy to tell but sometimes once they are in the brooder you have to wait till they feather out. I have the little leg bands but I'm not really crazy about using them either. The little ones like to peck at things and I think it might cause them to peck at their little feet more than they already do
