Repto 5000 incubator

Hi, has anyone used a repto 5000 for chicken eggs?
I got one with 2 turners and just set it up.
Thought it was just punch in the temp and it was ready to go,but it says in the manual it may flucuate and to test it with water temp readings!!
Manufacturer says lots of people are using it ??

Yeah, a lot of people are using it... Just not for the incubation process.

Yep, I'm using one. As with any new product, you need to run it before using it. Once you run it, it's awesome. Even when you buy a new coffee pot, you have to run water through it and get it going before you make a cup of coffee in it. Same principle.

The one I am using does not belong to me but has pretty much convinced us that this is the next incubator we're going to buy.

The real tell-tale will come when it's time to hatch, but so far it is doing a most excellent job.
