Rescue Chicken

Concerned about a chicken that i just rescued from someone who found her in his backyard (somehow wandered in). I believe she may be a japanese bantam. She's all black, but her feathers are iridescent. Her comb has little black spots, so I first thought fowl pox, but I don't see any other signs??? She seems perfectly healthy, and as soon as we gave her some food and water, she was eating and drinking a lot. Trying to fly out of the little playpen area we have her in, so definitely not lethargic. Also tried to eat the wood shavings though.... Any ideas? I'm going to give her some electrolytes and vitamin water. Wondering if she could be a he? Has EXTREMELY pointy saddle feathers, but pretty but no tail, and no comb. It's too dark to take pictures right now, but I will in the morning. Kind of a weird situation, but if you have any thoughts please help! I'm not sure of what to do. (she isnt with my other chickens right now)

Great idea to keep the mystery chicken separate from your other chickens. I look forward to some pictures in the morning.
I get a lot of rooster dropped off in my woods but the farmer across the field loves taking in these roosters to join his large flock. I hope you are able to keep him if it is a cockerel and he is healthy.

I won't be able to keep it if it's a boy. City laws But I may be able to keep it if it's a girl. Also found someone who will take her if she's a girl.

Just found some pictures the person who found her sent to me.

Saddle feathers look like rooster saddle feathers. Thoughts on sex?

I mean I'm thinking roo because of the saddle and hackle feathers, but he has no tail... wondering if maybe he lost them somehow?

Looks like a male araucana. They have pea combs and no tails.

He's TINY though

As big as my hand, three times smaller than my EE's

Huh, I don't know then! I don't know of any pea combed bantam breeds....most have single or rose combs, from my understanding.
