Rescue Duck[lings] need some advice

Thank you very much, ALL for your answers!
I know how to set up a brooder and yes i still have that kiddie-pool from the Spring Ducklings: And the heat-pad, and the waterer and the feeder, all that stuff is still there, but i cannot set-up a brooder in the house or the garage! There will be a major renovation in the house, therefore the garage is stuffed full of stuff and the house will be a construction-zone, where ducklings won't be comfortable and for sure will be injured and crippled…
The only thing i can think about is to set up a temporary shelter in the Duckie's vacation home , i can run an extension cord from the patio and connect a heat-pad for them, but they need at least a little run-area for the day and that's a problem. That cheap-plastic fence is almost weathered away and won't contain a small duckling.
Will have a sleepless night, i guess…
I'm going to see the little ones 2morrow afternoon, i remember my six week old's were pretty large and i kicked them out of the garage at 8 weeks, but i don't know how those have been treated and nurtured so far.
Will post some pic's tomorrow.
Thank you very much for all your help!

He used a kiddy pool to brood I remember that. Those are not 6 week old ducklings if that pic is recent.
His babies hatched I think a day before ours. Not sure what week we are at right now but our babies are still working on feathers...

In the long run i am also concerned about the space in the duck-house: The two bedrooms together are 8m² (86sqft) and the recommendation is 10.78m² (116sqft) for 29 ducks… And there is no way i can extend that duck-house - a second floor won't work for ducks, would it?
Good thing for the male to female rate in my flock: They are telling me there's only one drake, which would put my m/f rate from 1:3.80 to 1:3.83 - still a bit critical, but Limpy count's only as ½ drake ;).

I love your mama heat cave for the babies...next time I brood I'm going to be making one of those!
At least this neighbor is willing to be honest with you and offer them back. I can think of much worse ways they could have dealt with it.
Sounds like more fun ducky adventures for you this winter!!

Can we get pictures of what they look like now? Also, unless something has just gone badly wrong for them, if they're in the pool in your house, they probably don't need a heat lamp. I mean, do you keep your house at temperatures below 50 degrees F? If not, they should be fine at your normal room temperature.

As for room, you might have to think about selling/gifting/harvesting some of your flock to create room. I know that sucks but space seems to be a factor here.
