Rescue Duck[lings] need some advice

My drake killed a three month hen. She was small but he squished her. If you had just hens I would put them in at 8 weeks. Limpy probably isn't big enough to squish anybody. What size are your other drakes?
My concern are »los tres hermanos« - the three drakes from Katharinas offspring. They have the hybrid vigor, they are HUGE and they always stick together. Even Blanca Duck doesn't stand a chance against them. Beautiful birds, but also terrifying. They are Katharinas bodyguards and thugs, always around her and she commands them.

:lau Katharina's thugs!! :lau:gig

And here are my neighbor »ducknagers« a little over one month old (i was wrong!):
Two Runner duck descendants and three from the Black Swedish/Magpie ducks. The one with the crest looks exactly like her Mom, PomPom Duck. All five are almost fully feathered, just the flight feathers are missing, but we could not identify who is drake and who is duck. Neighbor thought the crested one is the drake, due to the crest. I have heart a lot of peeping and quacking, but when picked up the ducks said … nothing.
And they are very skiddish and afraid, almost climbed up the plywood wall when we tried to pick them up.
Told the neighbor to let them out into their run during the day, so they get used to the big outside and the current temperatures. (And make less mess in the house!) Neighbor told me she underestimated the amount of work and the mess the duckies make with their water and is just overwhelmed. They have a dozen chickens that make less work than five ducknagers - i can second that! She would love to keep the two Runners if they turn out to be ducks and not drakes…

So waddayall think: Can i put those cute fluffbutts outside in the vacation-house for a couple of weeks and let everybody get used to each other?
Gosh! I'm so weak! If i see a cute little duckie my next thought is "Want to have!".
That cute little crested one :love! - And they are blue and white! :yesss:

The materials isn't the problem: I have the fence (chicken-wire 2' tall) and i have some fence posts…
First that hillsite is soaked and slippery (i can't afford another broken limb now) and second i barely have the time to eat something during the day and it will take me a couple of hours to set up that house and the run. The whole flock is using their vacation home for duck-things, so i have to clean it out first…
Home renovations are always fun, especially when adding surprise new ducklings. We always have trouble keeping up when the days are so short, trying to get everything done outside before dark. And yes, no more broken anything!

You're laughing, but look at these guys:

Katharina is the noisy duck with the large green specs on her bill, the three brothers are the large birds with the bright yellow bills. They are always protecting 'momma'…
They sure are some big boys! So handsome though :)

Lol, before getting ducks we couldnt figure why everyone said they were so messy. Tiny ducklings and we thought "not so bad" but we sure were wrong! Every day I'm asking the ducks "How did you manage to poop on that?"
I'm sorry you missed the time with them as ducklings to get them bonded with you but I'm sure they will come around quickly :) Beautiful babies too.
