Rescue Hen

Hey everyone!!

I volunteer for a chicken rescue charity, I got asked to take in a young chicken as was found in someone’s garden. Nobody had chickens around so not sure where it came from.

I just wondered if anyone has an idea what he/she could be?
Also is it is a he or she..?

It’s very small so I was thinking a bantam but could be wrong

Difficult yo say because you don’t know the age. But I guess its a young cockerel. Possibly with genes of a Barred Plymouth Rock or a Dominique chicken.

I agree. He’s small because he’s still growing. Good for you to take him in!
