Rescued a duckling 3 days ago

They sometimes preen themselves or stretch their legs simultaneously. Feels like I'm watching synchronized swimming.
I always wonder who's copying whom.

Well, I never thought I'd become an animal lover before I got them. Seeing them to have grown up every day is fun by itself. And the way they preen themselves, stretch their legs, flap their wings, dive underwater(and splash water everywhere), even how they scratch their face with a weird 'smile'...it's just full of wonders. Who taught them to do so? Haha.

okay well if you only have one duck it is important to spend a lot of time with it. Ducks are really social and can become loonly at times. If you can't spend a lot of your time with it i would recomend geting another duck aroiund the same age. your duck apears to be around 3-5 weeks old. You could also put a miror in its cage or tub to make it feel like it has a friend. The noice normally indicasted distress from you leaving. As for food you are going to need a lot of protein in its diet since its a duckling but other then that it sounds like you are doing a grewat job.

Oh, I have another one(Pekin) which is 2 weeks younger than him(I posted this a month ago). They get along well, so no problem with that. Thanks anyway.
