Rescued abandoned chicken - has white butt, barely eating, watery yellow poo w black pieces

What really bothers me is the yellow color of her poop... And the black bits look more like dark green to me. Either way, it's not good. I mean this in the nicest way possible, but how much time and money do you have for this hen? I'm all for trying everything to keep them alive, but it can be*very* time consuming and will could cost you about $50 to buy wormer and stuff to tube feed her with, more if you decide to put her on medications.

Totally get what you are saying Kathy. I don't mind trying a few things for her...but don't want her to suffer either. She has been drinking water with a vitamin mix for chickens. Has had two more poops of that yellow/green/dark stuff in it. :-( I'm feeling that there is a lot going on with her...that's for sure. Hummm. :-(

I read that oil can be good for a hard crop (if that is what I am feeling) I've got hemp oil and flax oil in the fridge. Would either of these work? Would I add it to the water with vitamins? I'm thinking that if the crop is hard, then food should be kept minimum?

If she were mine I would start by tubing Pedialyte, then Pedialyte and Kaytee Exact Baby Bird Food, but that will require a trip to a pet store that carries it (Petsmart and Petco do), a trip to a small animal vet or medical supply store for a 35 or 60 ml catheter tip syringe and a size 16 or 18 french catheter/feeding tube and trip to a grocery store for Pedialyte. If that's something you're willing/able to do, I can teach you how to safely tube her.

Ok...checked crop again and think the last time I was touching her neck...between her neck and breast bone I feel a sac that moves around, is 'squishy' and seems to have stuff in it. The 'stuff' would be about the size of small hard-like seeds. Had been feeding them a bit of sunflower...like a teaspoon for two chickens every couple of days...and they had a cut open squash about a week ago. There is another one in the compost. They (only two of them) are out free during the day...?
