Hi everyone! So I have an issue. Yesterday we got a message about someone's eggs that they bought hatching. There were 7 already hatched but one was stuck in the egg. Theyre having some issues. I've hatched chickens before so when I got home I used some steam and warm water to help free the lil guy from his egg where he was stuck. A lot of the fluid and stuff dried on him. Hes in the incubator with the rest of the eggs that we deemed viable based on ccandling.the 6 other chicks who hatched are doing great despite not being in an incubator when they did. Though im pretty sure some are splay legged. What do I do with the lil guy who's got the dried sack on him. Again he's in tge incubator with a humidity of 77 but last I checked its still dried onto him. I also have one that was pipped and active when we put it into the incubator but isn't doing anything else with no progress. It's still peeping but not making active attempts to hatch. I know its a lot but someone please help I've never had anything like this before.

Could you post a photo showing what you are talking about. If it is a sac it is probably where the chick failed to absorb the yolk and it is dried up. When I help a chick sometimes the down is plastered down, that gunk dries on it. You can rinse these in warm water but it may take a week for the down to clean up through natural processes. I don't know which if these it is so I don't know what to recommend.
