I got this boy by accident, while buying chicken feed I heard a chick screaming! (They do scream you know!) This little boy was being chased by the other chicks, they were pecking his vent to the point of bleeding. He has white body feathers and grey head marking .

Look at that sweet expression on this baby. Thanks for grabbing "him" but why do you think it's a him? The legs look kind of skinny, the two roos that I raised had fat legs from day one. Either way he looks lost and frightened and very grateful to you for the rescue.

'He' is turning out to have white feathering on the body, the gray cap, and kind of a greyish cape. I was wondering. Could it be a Lakenvelder? Seems to be a great forager, preferring to look for the chick food on the floor instead of the feeder. 'He's' doing so well I let him snuggle with my bantam chicks about the same age. They think he's mama. CUTE. And 'he' doesn't seem to mind now that he's healed, I think he's just relieved to not be separated by the clear plastic anymore.
