Hello, is there anything natural that I can try to treat a respiratory infection, in place of antibiotics? Any success stories?
Thank you!

What are the symptoms? Which disease do you think they have?

Unfortunately, I don't know of a natural treatment for respiratory disease. Mycoplasma symptoms can be treated with antibiotics like Tylosin, Tiamulin and Tetracyclines.
Infectious Coryza symptoms are usually treated with Sulfa Antibiotics.

One of my hen sounds really congested, like when we have a cold, with lots if mucus. Other than that she is eating, drinking and laying eggs. Her behavior is completely normal...

Some respiratory diseases including infectious bronchitis and ILT ( laryngotracheitis) and a few others do not respond to antibiotics, and those must run their course with no treatment necessary. No natural treatments will treat a bacterial disease. Most chickens remain carriers after a respiratory disease. It can help to get a sick chicken tested, or to get a necropsy on one that dies, to find out what disease you are seeing. Some can have more than one disease at the same time—for example, MG and infectious bronchitis. The best thing to do is to close your flock to any new birds, or no birds leaving your flock. Once every bird is gone, waiting several weeks to get new birds, then you can start fresh with healthy chicks from a hatchery. Getting birds from another person is a good way to bring in a disease.
