Result of my eggtopsy

I set 12 shipped jersey giant eggs. 7 chicks hatched. I opened the remaining 5 after day 24.... 3 quit early on. 2 were full sized chicks but the yolk sack had not been absorbed.

Is there something I can do to improve my hatches?

I guess my real question is.... did I do something wrong to have 2 full-sized chicks with yolks not absorbed? Or is this just nature and how it works...

I am wondering what plays a roll in the chick not absorbing the yolk.
