Results of my first 3 hatchings.... mystery auction eggs... oooooh lord help me!

If there is enough interest I can always make a run to Spokane. I have TONS of other chickens for sale (started pullets and some cockerels) and I have a new order of chicks (hatchery 'purebred') that will be coming in the next couple of weeks. I have 30 or so breeds now (many are only 1 per breed) and more on the way. lol SOOO if its worth my while I can do a trip there. I lived in Spokane for 12 years. Its not like I don't know the area. lol We have a f250 truck we could always load up with birds if people are interested (esp if you cover my gas.....thats the big thing).

Pics of my current flock (all are available for sale) and no its not all of them. I have about 80 birds so I dont have pics of everyone of them. So if there is a breed your looking for that you don't see... ask me. I very well may have it! Some are camera shy and hide when they see the scary clicky box of death. https://www.backyardchickens.com/g/a/6773144/buckley-flock/

I have one that I **THINK** is a cuckoo maran left. I was waiting to check egg color to make sure. I only have one blue cochin standard left and shes one of my faves. Shes a baby raiser. She looooves taking care of chicks so I'm hesitant to sell her because shes already proved her value here even if she never lays an egg. If your willing to go for a bird that I haven't checked her egg color I can sell that one though. I can take pics of her today.

CM and Barred rocks are quite easy to confuse. I had one of each. I sold the yellow legged one (guessing that was the BR) the one that doesn't have yellow legs is probably the CM but I'm waiting to see if it lays chocolate eggs which the BR will not.

My husband suggested that we build a maran only coop/run because SO MANY people have requested them. I found a source that I can get them ... next year. In the meantime I'm going to the auction tomorrow and my husband told me to get any more of the 'oddities' birds that are for sale (eggs or chicks). I think hes right... those little buggers are getting really cute!! I will use my good camera to take better pics of them when the suns out again. I tried indoors and my camera just couldn't manage it... ok... it probably could but the woman behind the lense couldn't. ;)

Ive sold 40 birds in a month and my husband said to not sell many more birds. He wants us to produce a min of 4-5 dozen eggs a day. We have the customers to support at least that many. LOL I love having a supportive husband. haha

Next year... write me for marans ;) Somehow I think I will be able to help ya out!

well next year I will be able to help you. This year I don't think I will be able to find any. :(

My husband ok'ed me picking up more hatching eggs. haha 10 dozen unknown breed 'fresh fertile' to hatch + 2 dozen bantam eggs possibly from the same person my others came from *fingers crossed* lol didnt know that so many people would like strange looking birds. Never knew "Showgirls" were popular...

Must be those Showgirl Legs , Opps it's the Naked Necks

I set 145 eggs into two tabletop incubators and will be hand turning three times a day. It's doubtful all will hatch if the auction egg success rate holds true I will probably end up with around 40 chicks if I'm lucky. If I'm very lucky then I will have lots of extras to sell. I will enjoy this experiment! No idea what will hatch out these are all mystery eggs lol.
