Results of my first 3 hatchings.... mystery auction eggs... oooooh lord help me!

Just candled this month's eggs. All 152 that are in my two overloaded incubators. 10 dozen standard 2 dozen bantam plus eggs from my two silkies. Wow I'm really happy with my standard eggs so far. Looking at around 85% fertile! The bantam are not so good at only 11 fertile of two dozen. And my silliest look like 4 of 6 are good.

No idea of breeds but I'm hoping we do ok. Will raise all in till they are old enough to sex then sell off the boys first and keep.the.girls till they hit 4 months then sell.

I'm right there with you as I'm letting a broody sit on eggs for the first time and have eggs in the incubator for the first time.

Ive been lucky to have been able to find eggs that other people have had for sale that were turkens or to find chicks for sale that Ive raised. Right now my birds aren't quite old enough to breed but I will be establishing my own oddball flock for breeding NN silkies I had NO IDEA they would be so popular. lol Guess Im not the only one who likes a Freaky Flock
