We have three dwarf dumbo boys - they're soooo adorable, and soooo smart! Be prepared to get a BFF for Tippie - they're social creatures and don't live alone well. Plus, they're so cute together, and two is pretty much the same as one

Lizbeth found a clear moment to exit her Shelf of Safety and relocate to a secret hiding spot. Unfortunately, it wasn't long enough to take a photo of her even if I did have the camera when she did it, which I didn't. A little while ago, I heard her mew from somewhere behind me. Given that my back was (and is, again) to the door into the guest room / incubator room / computer room / storage room / Simba's cage room, the entire rest of the house was "behind" me. I went room by room, slowly, calling to her. Didn't get a reply mew.

Great. With all the boxes still stacked around, she could be in almost ANY room but the utility room. I know cats can open cabinet doors.

Just a few minutes ago, she mewed again, slightly differently. And not so muffled-sounding.

She was in the doorway of my room, facing outwards. We were about to commune effectively when Dooley dashed up behind me and stuck his long nose past my fingertips as I reached for Lizbeth.

Well, now I know her alternate Spot of Safety is in my bedroom closet.

Lizbeth's a smart cat - she's already gotten it all figured out

They're so darned cute, and so very smart. Hadn't thought about it, but Linda, I think you're right - chicken math = dumbo rat math
