Good morning,
I have a 1 year old Olive egger who all the sudden stopped laying in her nesting box. I adopted 2 other hens who are now about 6 months old. All of my chickens free range during the day.
The only egg I’m getting is from one of the 6 month old hens and she is laying in a water trough in the barn. I tried leaving the 3 hens that (should be) laying in the coop for a majority of the day but only found a deflated egg that was almost plastic like. I do have a porcelain egg in each nesting box to remind them where to lay should they even walk in there. I should also mention it has been extremely hot and humid here in FL so maybe this is a contributing factor?
Any ideas, tips, or tricks are appreciated.
Thank you!
