Hello to all. I had a flock of Dominiques and Australorps several years back and had to adopt them out for one of my kids' health issues. This is not the case now and I have a Rouen duck, 1ea Buff Orpington, RIR, Golden Laced Wyandotte, Easter Egger and Black Australorp hens in chick stage (9 days old). I have about 5 acres that I love and my sweeties will keep the bug population down and help my compost pile to boot. Any and all suggestions are welcome. I am raising them as organically as possible. I drive 60 miles just to get certified non-soy organic feed for them! I use no non-organic products in my square foot garden patches or anywhere else on my property. I care about my soil bio-system and my healthy foods. I recycle as much as I can and repurpose when I find use for something.
and Welcome To BYC! Good luck with your new chicks and your garden!
