Hi everyone! I’m new to BYC and to chickens. In May I got 6 Rhode Island reds, and I’m wondering if these two are hens or roosters? They are both 16 weeks old

The first three are one chicken and the last two are another. I’m open to any suggestions because I’m not really sure.
Thanks for helping!

Hi there, welcome to BYC! :frow

Those are both pullets.. :celebrate

but not RIR as indicating by the pattern on the neck.. Maybe production Reds??

Also they don't technically earn their rooster and hen badges until reaching a year old. Mostly relevant when discussing behavior, medical conditions, etc. :)

Wow, I’m surprised almost everyone doesn’t think they are Rhode Island Reds. We got them from a hatchery who said they were Rhode island reds. I wonder what they are?

Oh, that would make sense.
I honestly can’t remember which hatchery. 😂
me and my memory 🤣
