Rhode Island Red rooster with very swollen eye!!

Hi I have a Rhode Island Red Rooster with a very swollen eye. I also just got this rooster yesterday from someone else.. He is 9 months old and the swollen eye doesn't seem to bother him I d I don't know what to do with him because I have never had chickens before so if someone could give me some advice on what to do with him I would greatly appreciate it. the guy I got it from says he's put things on it and nothing seems to help he also said the rooster does NOT have a disease. He takes very good care of all of his chickens so I trust his judgement.

If you have other chickens, don't put the new guy with them and be sure to quarantine. Pics may help, but I don't know what to do for the eye

Just posted a pic..he is separated from everyone else..it doesnt seem to bother him..the guy said hes had the eye problem since he was 3 months old.
