Rhode Island Reds...Rooster AND Hen?

As far as we know, they are the same age. Bought at the same time from a local breeder. They look SO different, we believe we have one of each! So please tell me...is it true? Do we have a future Hen, and maybe a Roo?!

It's not possible to tell at this age in a bit couple weeks you'll know for sure you got a 50/50 chance for hen and roo

Too young to sex but their coloring does not look like RIR. The 2 in the box are RIR, the 2 on the potty pad are Wyandottes.

I was just ID my chicks, wanted OP to see the color of my RIR chicks compared to what hers are.

Much to young to say for sure yet. I highly doubt they are Rhode Island Reds either. Color is way off.

Please wait until they are 6 weeks old. Then we will have a better idea on breed, (doesn't look RIR) and will be able to tell gender.
