Ribh's D'Coopage

The size difference between the campines and Lavender is amazing. One good thing, They should be nice and toasty! :D

Yet another beautiful scenic picture from your wonderful island. Just amazing. :love
Wrold is one of my Wyandotte bantams but in certain lights they do look like the Campines & Lavender is a monster beside them!

Hi Ribh, BYC is really responding slowly today - maybe too many folks on all at once.
Hope you are healthy and safe from the corona virus. Think it's here to stay. Everybody is getting used to the new order - social distancing 6 feet apart, and most are wearing face masks. Plus non essential businesses here are closed. We can only pick up food/ meals from restaurants but cannot go inside and sit down.

Of all the new girls to arrive Alpia has quickly won a place in my heart.
Not only is she pretty, she is sweet natured.

Like all my Wyandottes she is not keen on unsolicited handling but she's not adverse to seeking my company on her own terms with a little questing tilt of her head & a soft asking warble.

Her patterning is really lovely too. She's a real find in a quiet way.

And she doesn't show much fear now she knows I'm the bringer of good things.

She is definately a real beauty. I just love their shape. I bet they are very curious and clever as well. Are they?

My gosh you are of course correct. I should have looked more closely. How much do they weigh? I think Phyllis might be a little bigger than them. I'm trying to use Hattie as a comparison.

I don't know about weight but they are a different shape. Phyllis probably stands taller.
Phyllis must stand tall to see. Her head is always up high when she's not pecking of course. From today.

It's the same here in NSW and I dare say in Queensland too Ribh?
It's rather a pleasant change to slow the pace of life... if it weren't for the actual pandemic of course.:hmm

We're all good here, Nancy. Island life hasn't changed much for us, which is rather nice. The best is there are so few people out about on the boats or the roads..

Yes to both. I don't mind they are easier to put back over the fence than the Campines. They run round the perimeter for the sake of it I think & to make sure I get my daily exercise. :gig
