They are very tactile, aren't they. They just beg to be touched & rubbed, as well as being visually appealing. I think they are gorgeous!

You do just want to touch them. Tactile is the word. They also feel to me like they are in motion. They are real works of art.

I think she is very pretty and it sounds like she is very interesting. It's been quite a ride for her. She is pretty small from the sounds of things. After seeing your fence I think you must be right. She must be happy there. A small hen would have no trouble jumping your fence. I hope to hear more stories of her behavior.

She is very small for a mature hen. I don't think she was supposed to be for sale but I'm glad I asked for her. The pen she was in was a shocker. I 'm not judging the keeper as we'd had huge amounts of rain turning everything super soggy & we all know what chickens are like, but honestly, I think chickens have a huge appreciation for beauty. Most of my lot will stand somewhere they can see out over the water, beaks into the breeze, & their enjoyment is tangible. Morrigu is a very alert chicken & is always one of the 1st to alarm, or cock her head listening when the wild birds cry. I always wonder if the different species can understand each other & what information is being transmitted.

Treacle with Moon and Tap. These two haven't been getting on very well. Tap is determined to be senior. This is the friendliest I've seen them for a while. maybe now Moon is back with the tribe things will calm down a bit.

A Little video of Morrigu.

That really gave a great idea of how small Morrigu actually is. You're right of course, but seeing her next to Ha'Penney really showed the size differential. Lavender looks like Godzilla next to her. She does have a pretty good toss when scratching. She seems quite happy and really is beautiful.

It looks like everyone is pretty calm with each other as well. The flock seems to be getting along quite well. Thanks for the window into their lives.
