Ribh's D'Coopage

I love the collective purr. šŸ˜ When I checked on them the other night all 14 of them were in full throttle. They barely noticed me. It was lovely. Such happy chookies.
That is so cool. I have not seen that in my flock yet. I will have to watch for that.

It's a bit beside the point but every time you post pictures of the chickens on these steps I am struck by how wonderfully the hedging frames the shot & throws the girls into focus! I love these shots! šŸ˜ I love the bond Mag & Lock have.

My 2 older Campines are growing quite long spurs. Do I just leave them be? I'm a little leery of them as they seem to be quite sharp.
I love the step shots as well. I agree, they are just framed beautifully.

And now I've read all the talk about loud hens, I realise the hens here are unusually quiet types.
If you think that recording was loud then your are quiet. Mine do that at least once a week.

She squatted for me again today.
[I had my fishing rod with me, Shad, & had to put it down so I could pick her up]
Here's proof I can handle her.
Not a peep.
Not a squeak.
No screaming, screeching, objection @ all.
Nothing but calm curiosity.
I put her in a nesting box. I have a feeling she's looking for somewhere to lay outside the coop.
Not on, Sweetheart!

I'm sure they do it, Bob. Mine often seem to do it just before everybody is ready to drop off to sleep.

Tackle.
