Ribh's D'Coopage

I would say so. Somehow you always seem to have the right thing to display them on as well. :love
Thanks, Bob. I was surprised the colours matched up so well too. :) I've not done a lot of fancy work before & my tension is so tight I'm going to have to stretch this piece into its proper shape because the pattern doesn't show. :(

Perfect name. Look at her! :love
She's rather a sweetie. One day I hope to get a really good shot of her eyes. I've never seen a chook with eyes that colour, They are really pale & in some lights look almost blue. So weird. Her sister has normal mad orange eyes. :D

Good evening folks :frow

She can stand on her own but getting feet and legs to do what she wants is the challenge and she's afraid of falling. But when she's in bed she can move feet and legs at will.

Loved all the pics folks. I have a FB account that I really don't use other than to look at the farm page. It's not a people friendly place IMO.
It will take time, Bob. These things invariably do but in time I believe she will be as right as rain again! :hugs

After weeks of cold, dark, damp we got a glorious evening last night.
The light lingered & so did the girls. They certainly appreciated the extra daylight. When I went out to check on them Patricia was on the top rail. Yay Patricia! Three were on the 2nd bar & for some reason Soda was on the 3rd. She did hop up on to the 2nd bar while I was saying goodnight but no~one was snuggled as tightly as they have been the past few nights.

So beautiful!!!

So beautiful!!!
It really was last night. The coop run has a couple of good sized stumps & all my girls like to roost on them staring dreamily out across the water. I think they appreciate our view as much as I do! :)

There are days I when I hate what I have to do here to manage the chickens in a manner I would prefer not to. I had to confiscate Tackle's eggs today. I felt awful. I had promised her she could sit when she tried last year.
My friend with the Fayoumies lets them sit and hatch when they want. I would dearly love to be in that position.
This a Tackle a while after taking her eggs.:( She's such a good natured hen.

@Shadrach Oh, gosh! :( I feel your pain. I felt awful about taking Ha'penny's eggs when she had gone to such pains, built a beautiful nest & hidden them so well but they were infertile & getting fertile eggs here is a right royal PITA. Perhaps Tackle will get a opportunity later on. I certainly hope so ~ for both of you. I'm hoping your lamps will bring in the needed extra income to allow your girls to start sitting again. I know it makes you all happier. :hugs

Good morning folks :frow

It looks like Sue will be moving to rehab on Monday. Her PT went well today and she's finally able to use a toilet. They are removing her drain tomorrow and then she can have a shower and wash her hair. Her short term memory is a bit flawed but that is normal as I understand it. The guy who does a sound a gram of her head everyday showed up today and she remembered him. But she doesn't remember him showing up for the past 11 days. That's odd as she knew exactly what positions to put her head in for him.

I'm struggling with where to send her. The best PT/OT is right across the street and she would be able to keep her nuro as attending. But their nursing staff have horrible reviews and they are not rated by Medicare. Which I find disconcerting. They are certified for stroke victims.
They are not on hospital compare? What is the name? I can find out lots of stuff. I have people that do just that thing.
