Ribh's D'Coopage

There was a mad scramble when I opened the gate this morning.
Lucky no~one got trampled!

Not only Aoife immediately hopped the fence.
This is Medh.
She was less than happy.

And Alpia, who is @ least used to being nabbed & carted round.

I usually get @ least 1/2 an hour before girls decide they're bored. Not today & a good thing too!

As I was busily popping girls back where they belong I heard hawks screaming.
I looked up & 2 were circling the run.
Not a single one of my girls alarmed! 🙄
I shoved food into the pen, which got most of my greedy little piglets moving in the right direction & grabbed my last 2 birds.

We don't get many predators & our raptors are scavengers rather than hunters but no point in advertising a free lunch either!

What does Medh's facial expression say? Is she mortified or indignant? I'm leaning towards indignant: "Unhand me this instant!"

That is so scary. Hawks are back to number one on my list. I have seen them over my house the last three days.

I do love your fence hoppers. They are beautiful and you get to hold them. I think it's precious. :love

I do know you will rest better knowing they are safe when the new run is done. But I will miss it.
