Fascinating!Good morning folks
Sue walked with a walker today, with little to no support.
I'm am suspect of the DNA tests. I have a similar situation, no native american. Yet I know, through research and documentation, that My Grandmother's Grandmother was 100% Cherokee. Her family escaped the trail of tears and was taken in by a white family, that basically taught them to be white. Because they took that families surname it get's really murky, but I was able to follow them to Illinois and then to Terre Haute Indiana where she was married and had my grandmother's mom. What I haven't been able to find was her death certificate. I think I actually did once but passed because it was tied to the reservation. Family stories said she died in Indiana, but her youngest daughter said she moved to the reservation when they started issuing Social Security Cards.
