MHARI.
As if things weren't chaotic enough around here Mhari has chosen now to go broody.
I take the eggs & she just waits till someone else lays & goes sit on them.
I am throwing her out when I open the run but I really don't have time t deal with her just now so she is being left to gaze vacantly into space.
She is very good @ it!

I've got Moon doing the same here. I empty the nest box. She goes outside for a bit. Another hen comes in and lays an egg and Moon tries to sit again.
Fat Bird threw her out this afternoon, but she was back again this evening.

The kiddies aren't real well, as kiddies often aren't, so lots of tears. Between excitement @ being here & ordinary life having to go on it's a pretty big adjustment but 4 adults in the house helps.

Mhari is a RRP. She knows I'm in no position just now to really deal with her. It's still freezing cold so I can't think what she's thinking!

She's looking determined too! It's not even easy to get hands on fertile eggs just now so there's no way she can sit.

Just enjoy as much as you can while they're there. You'll miss them terribly when they leave. When my DD visits, the house is total chaos and it's so nice when quiet returns, but oh I miss the chaos after a day or two. I'll keep sending hugs until they are no longer needed.
