Thanks, @RoyalChick. I think so. I have a terrible habit of choosing birds for the prettiness of their feathering rather than egg laying attributes.

I'm all good with slowing down for little helpers, being talked to death, the inevitable accidents & breakages but I don't do well with being argued with constantly. It is very wearing & it takes ages to get anything done. Once he learns I don't play we won't have the issues.

He might take 18 years learning that. My son is nine and he argues the toss over everything. He’ll argue with me about music and I’m a music teacher!
