Ribh's D'Coopage

We only really have one sandy beach on the island & I took the lad there yesterday.

Most of our *beaches* are mud.

Our little one @ the bottom of the hill is gravelly.

It's rather lovely & as the tide goes out there is a vast expanse of beautiful white sand.
Because it's shallow it's great for little ones who want to swim & paddle.
The lad took his yellow boots off to wade but the water is still too cold for swimming in IMO.

I like some dogs. I'm not like many I read on BYC who are dog mad. I wouldn't keep a dog in the house for example, or let it sleep on my bed.:sick
There used to be a proper dog here and he and I got on very well. The two remaining are sofa dogs basicaly and while I'll feed them and take them to the vet and even pet them from time to time:p that's as far as it goes.
In my world dogs work for their keep and need proper training.

My feelings exactly!! No dogs on my bed, but I love when the kitties join me. I can't stand a poorly trained dog and sadly most Americans don't train their dogs, it seems.

Trying again...
Beatha; I think Alpia is laying a small, light brown egg; Medh, a small white egg; Luna lays a dark brown egg though this one is an absolute monster!; Morrigue, small & white [yes, it is white; sorry if the shadowing makes it look darker]; & finally Patricia who lays a fairly large brown egg consistently.

Tribe 2 at supper time.
It's Hinge at the back who has been moulting. The odd looking patch on her front is the result of a hawk attack where a flap of skin got peeled back. Finally there are some feathers starting to grow there. It's been bald until now. Hinge has survived two hawk attacks so far.

2 hawk attacks! That girl is like a cat. Only 7 lives left. Wow.

They really stand out personality wise too. They're not unfriendly. I could even say they are fairly placid but they are certainly high strung & intelligent. They'd be wonderful in a large free range environment. Sadly I can't give them that but they do pretty well here just the same. I don't think they would do @ all well in a small, boring, confined space.
That may not be true. I find leghorns to be extremely intelligent, curious, and friendly. However, sadly for them, people will tell you they bear confinement well. Of course those same people call them flighty and stupid, so there is that. 😟
