Nope. Blue ear~lobes. Morrigu has blue ones too. Medh & Aoife's are white.

Some days I wished I never have shown him to our group BYC. It really does hurt me a lot to lose him, even being reminded of him still causes pain.

Sadly not one chicken has ever lived longer than a human, so loss and grief are part of longterm chickening.

I have a plan to install a raised rose garden in the sideyard. It's going to be a very long term gardening project because I'll place a dead chicken friend under each bush to honour a little one who gave much joy. I'm hoping to plant roses the same or similar colour to the hens beneath. So in time the rose garden will become a memory place.

Beautiful too! I went to CraigsList to find some,but nope no luck

I doubt you'd find any on Craigslist. They are a heritage breed & quite rare. As they don't go broody as a rule they don't self propagate well. I had a lot of trouble getting my silvers & last year my Golden breeder didn't breed her stock. I am waiting to see if she has fertile eggs this season. She won't breed silvers as it is so hard to get the demarcation right. The black tends to come through on the white.

I really loved that rooster. (I see him in my mind, every time I look at that Blue Ribbon on the wall.

I have days where I am melancholy and missed the birds I have lost.

They are very smart birds. Ha'penny once secreted 10 eggs outside the run without me ever once spotting her leaving the run & the 1st I knew about it was when she went to sit & I couldn't find her!!! They like to forage & regularly hop my inadequate fencing. @BY Bob is going to be upset if my new run arrangements actually confine my birds!

I love how smart they are. I think they are curious as well. I like that in a chicken.
