I read the Frostborn and the Sevenfold sword this summer. Great stuff. I really enjoyed them.

I love the Pern books & had read most of them before I realised that technically McCaffrey was a SciFi writer. Ah well...

I feel that they are a blend...I mean dragons!!!

Have you tried Helen Hollick. She did an Arthurian triology. She did a lot of research & I enjoyed them. Just don't mention Stephen Lawhead to me. He should never have been allowed to publish such drivel!!!!

I'm going to look up Helen Hollick now.

Anne McCaffrey is another of my favorites. I think @Ribh might like Marion Zimmer Bradley, the Mists of Avalon.
